3G/4G (HCDVRM4M2-xCELL) - If using the internal 3G/4G wireless module for data connectivity, what do I need to pay attention to ensure everything is functioning properly?

There are several steps to verifying that your 3G/4G connection is functioning properly:

  1. The built-in wireless modules (WCDMA / EVDO / TD-SCDMA / FDD-LTE/TDD-LTE) are not the same. Each module supports a different carrier. Please make sure your module, SIM and carrier are all compatible. Do not use EVDO SIM card on WCDMA module.
  2. Check whether the settings of Server IP and port are correct, 3G/4G signal is strong enough for connectivity, and whether the 3G/4G connection is successful or not with the carrier.
  3. Check that the 3G/4G antenna is in connected to the back of the MDVR. The connection may fail because of a weak signal. In addition, please check whether the data plan with the carrier is sufficient enough to transmit the data.
